Nick received Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1982 in Pontiac Michigan and felt the call of God to preach the gospel which led him to Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas Texas where he studied with a major in missions. After graduating, the Lord led him to connect with a missions organization called World Indigenous Missions. He studied Spanish language and culture at Kings Way Missionary Institute in McAllen Texas. After graduating he entered a two year missionary training program in the Dominican Republic.

Yngris received Jesus Christ as her Savior in 1987. By the providence of God, Yngris also enrolled in the same missions training program that Nick was in. They became friends and together began to be involved in evangelistic outreaches. In 1990 they married in Santiago Dominican Republic. They have continued to serve the Lord together as evangelists, missionaries, teachers and pastors in Dominican Republic, USA and Singapore. The Holy Spirit gave Nick a vision and a dream about the ministry God has called him and Yngris to develop and fulfill. Diamond Institute is part of the way we believe God will work through us now in equipping and training many new workers and leaders to continue the work of Jesus preaching the gospel and making disciples.

Diamond Institute was birthed out of a relentless pursuit of seeking God for His guidance to fulfill His purpose and will for our lives.

VISION OF THE ARMY OF GOD

I had an open vision while I was praying in my home in Pontiac, Michigan back in 2001. This vision was very real like in 3-D almost like watching a movie play. I saw an army in a valley then a squad of soldiers come charging up on the side of a mountain where I was standing, and they went past me and defeated a group of enemy soldiers. I saw steel door locked with chains in the side of the mountain. The soldiers broke the chains and opened the door and came all these thin, weak, sick looking people. The soldiers took them down the side of the mountain and now in the valley I saw two tents and on the top of one it was written “Healing” and on the top of the other, it was written “Equipping”. Everyone went into one of those tents, and then the army expanded and grew in size and suddenly the vision was taken up from me. The vision was so real me and as I thought and asked the Lord about it I came to understand seven points:

  1. The army represents the church, the Body of Christ around the world.

  2. The enemy soldiers are symbolic of demons trying to keep people in bondage.

  3. The steel door and chains represent sin that Jesus Christ has conquered through His blood, death and resurrection.

  4. The people liberated are souls that have come to Christ but need to be healed, strengthened and discipled.

  5. The tent of healing represents triage, healing and restoring weak and wounded souls.

  6. The tent of equipping represents basic training and equipping believers to do the works of Jesus Christ.

  7. The growth of the army (the church) happened through a system of outreach, healing and equipping.

    The reason I had this vision is because God called me to develop the vision into a ministry to reach the lost, restore people and equip the saints to do the ministry. We have been pursuing this vision through all kinds of ministry outreaches and training events. We believe God will use Diamond Institute to help realize this vision aligned with the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I had a very interesting dream of looking for work and walking into a factory to inquire as it had a help wanted sign out front. I asked the receptionist what the company made and she said we make everything from diamonds from beautiful jewelry to industrial tooling. Then she said, the job is yours if you want it. When I woke up the dream was in me strongly. I believe God gave that dream to me to confirm Him wanting to use Diamond Institute to develop His people and equip them. We had already incorporated Nick Boork Ministries as a 501c3 and had also filed DBA papers in the name of Diamond Institute. So for me, this was a dream of confirmation and am excited about seeing both individual Believers and Churches grow into all that God has for them to become in Christ!
